  • Ajwain itself is the standard household remedy for a heavy stomach across Pakistan; the honey carries the same aromatic compounds in trace amounts.
  • The thymol note comes from the nectar source and is a genuine marker of the floral origin.
  • Any warm honey drink is soothing to an irritated throat, largely because of the honey's thickness and sugar content rather than anything specific to the variety.
